Google Goes Local with Google Place Search - Big Time

In the last few days, Google has made a dramatic change to their search results and it has implications for every business on Google.

Previous what happened when you made a local search on Google, you would see Google Ads on the top left hand side followed by Google Places listings and then websites - which we call the organic search results. More Google Ads were displayed down the right hand column. What Google has now done is blended together Google Places with Google organic results.

This is a total game changer! This latest update shows Google's commitment to local searches both on normal search engine results and mobile searches.

What does this mean for you?

It's been another great month for Broadbeach Media, as we continue to grow at such a great rate. Our team has grown to five in just two months. We have over ten web projects on the go at the moment and we can't wait to show you them over the coming months.

Credit Card Payments

Recently we undertook a redesign and strategy for the team at RAM. Two and a half years ago we developed the original site for RAM. Fast forward to 2010 and we have developed two sites to reflect the companies two core business.

Giving the graduates a go!

There's no better feeling than giving a young graduate the opportunity to join our team. Tyler Berry who is 19 years of age, has joined our team as a Graphic Artist. Tyler has just finished his course at Gold Coast Tafe, and his artwork is exceptional. His already produced some great work for us, and we look forward to seeing his future designs.

I'm really pleased to have our new website and blog ready for you to keep up to date with latest offers and new products from Broadbeach Media. I started Broadbeach Media 2 years ago with a passion for graphic and web design. Earlier this year I expanded the business and moved into our office at the Oasis Shopping Centre. We now service the Gold Coast and Brisbane areas and can even handle any orders from Australia or New Zealand.

Broadbeach Media is proud to be a partner of Business Catalyst - Content Management Software. All our sites are now built using this brilliant web software, which includes full email capability, E Commerce, Email Marketing, and CRM. Its feature rich and continually being developed. Business Catalyst was recently acquired by Adobe (the makers of Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign etc) which secures its future well into the future.

In the past 12 months we have seen a massive change in the way we do web business. No longer is it acceptable to have a brochure style website. Websites need to be complemented with a strategic Search Engine and Social Media Marketing strategy.
